Every litter of Blizzard-strain Llewellins born here Huntmore Kennels is a true labor of love.  All hands pitch in to see that the mother and her puppies get the best of attentive care.  In a breeding program that strives to improve upon a model standard with every new mating, it's a particular joy for the Jacobs family when the youngsters meet or exceed every expectation for weanlings.  The Parker X Laurel litter is that kind of posse of puppies.

This is a first breeding between these two fine dogs, a sharp, talented and athletic female put to a hard-going bird dog with the companionable disposition and classic looks that are trademarks of the Shoeleather/Blizzard lines.  Even so, these puppies seem particularly bright, confident, and beautifully made with heads seemingly carved from likenesses in a vintage sporting print, back when Llewellin setters ruled the game coverts and trial grounds.

There are still several puppies available for reservation by private treaty, and we are excited to place them in hunting homes that will give each one the optimum chance to be proven in the field.  In the meantime, Anna, Eric, and the boys will continue to do justice to this latest, living proofs that they are to something very special down in London, Kentucky, cradle of the old-time Blizzard Llewellins.
