Read what people have to say about our dogs...
From Facebook:   "Unbelievable dogs/pups also at an extremely affordable price. Not only are they a proven line, Eric has proven himself as a quality breeder. Honesty & Integrity describe him best."  (10 December, 2017)

From IM, regarding puppy from Dixie/Parker 2017 litter: "She is a bird hunting machine.  She does now know when to quit.    All she wants to do is hunt.  She has a beautiful point.  I have yet to capture it in a photograph.  Her tail goes straight up.  She is backing Ruger and he backs her...I believe she would hunt herself to death."

From a Facebook post by Jason Short:  "I hunted every weekend with Eric back in the '90's and had the opportunity to hunt with Bull, Toby, and Bleu, the foundation of his kennel.  Also owned a once in a lifetime dog out of Bull.  These dogs are natural, hard-going dogs with brains, great nose, and a strong desire to please.  Ever since I've known Eric, he has kept a hunting log of his dogs' performance, weather conditions, and the places he hunted.  He has as much knowledge of what a bird dog should be as anyone in the country.  If you are considering a pup, you should take a look at what he has to offer."

From a Facebook post, fall of 2017:  "I took a trip today to look at a pup and got to meet and talk to one of the greatest breeders you would ever want to meet.  Thank you, Eric Jacobs, for showing me around and taking me to show me your line of Llewellins."

From a chatroom post marked August 3, 2014 from "biggraham610":  "Man, I'm sorry, 10framer, to hear (that your dog) hasn't returned.  Nothing worse.  I will be thinking of you, my friend.  My dogs are out of the Awbonnies Bull side of the Llewellin line.  He was said to be the greatest grouse dog that ever lived.  Her grandfather is Highway Dan, National Champion.  Sorry again, 10framer.  G."

From Facebook, posted by C.J. Pearson Dec. 9, 2017:  "Unbelievable dogs/pups also at an extremely affordable price. Not only are they a proven line, Eric has proven himself as a quality breeder. Honesty & Integrity describe him best."

In Response To "Reflections of a Mountain Grouse Hunter," Eric's blog, Andrew Payment writes (12/16/17):  "Good post, Eric.  Keep telling your story. You have a unique voice and experience in the grouse hunting world.  Your post makes me want to follow a Llewellin! But I still love my Bretons!"

From Kurt Robbins, owner of "Ginger" from the spring 2017 litter (21 December 2017), writing from northern Georgia: "First time I had Ginger on birds since Wisconsin. She pointed 3 out of 5 woodcock we saw and held like a champ!  I will send pics when my buddy sends them to me..."

Text From Ricky Adams, Kentucky grouse hunter and Llewellin fancier (28 December 2017):  Grouse Dogs: When I hear those two words one thing comes to mind, Eric Jacobs and his Llewellin Grouse Dogs. Eric is one of the most dedicated and knowledgeable men I know when it comes to Grouse hunting and as a breeder of great Llewellin Grouse Dogs. Eric has a passion for and strives to have the best Llewellin Grouse Dogs that can be had.  His knowledge for Grouse hunting and Grouse Dogs far surpass his years.I have been blessed to have known and have hunted with him and his Llewellins for many years, and I have owned GROUSE DOGS from his select breeding program. I think often of you and your Llewellins, Eric.  Your Llewellins are not only tireless hunters with lots of heart and drive, but are also loyal companions. Thanks for the memories, OLE FRIEND!

From Rodney, on the performance of five-month-old Gauge, son of Parker X Sis, working preserve bobwhites: He nailed 7 this morning.  He trailed one for a while that we just knew went another way.  However, Gauge did not give up and trailed him and then locked down.  We were totally surprised when we got to him, and the bird got up.  He pointed all and retrieved all." (4/8/18)

Thanksgiving 2018 Message from Bob Mastandrea in Illinois:  "Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Even though my male pup is getting bigger than Gia, she harasses him non stop until she spots birds then forgets all else and goes after them. She is all anybody would want in a bird dog. At night she curls up with me on my easy chair. Great pup."

From Tom in West Virginia, 11/27/2018:  "So far most of the hunting has been in milo and thick brush and CRP. He has pointed over 40 quail and I have lost count pheasant. Just can't get pics in thick stuff and as soon as you walk up the birds flush. They aren't out in more open cover. The pics in the cornfield are two left overs we flushed in gulley past dog. The brush pic is the cover he is pointing in."  Tom mentioned that Luke's usual high and tight posture on point was different in these photos.  "It was the end of the day.  He was pretty worn down."
